Sanford - God only knows why a 66 year old was driving an Impala in the first place.
The Orlando Sentinel reports a southbound Amtrak train heading for Miami, creamed a nice old lady in her Impala. Turns out she came up with the brilliant plan to turn off the road she was on, and got stuck on the tracks.
Fight or Flight certainly did not play a factor as Joyce Piazza stayed in the vehicle while this 100 Ton Bullet of Fledgeling Train business smashed into her car.
Fortunately, she only sustained minor injuries. I can't imagine the guilt of the conductor watching her from a mile away NOT getting out of the car. And letting it get demolished like most normal people would. That's what insurance is for.
I only hope the image above represents the car in this story. Sadly. It's probably a nice new impala.
