London, U.K. - The life of a mid-wife is always a roller-coaster of births and hospital visits. Imagine being over 8 months pregnant, working a 13 hour shift at the hospital and trying to rest.

Then BAM! Your own contractions kick in.

That's what happened to London's Clair Clarke-Wood. She woke her husband up and followed her own directions to quell the contractions. However, she soon realized her baby wasn't just testing the waters.

This kid was ready greet the world. And Clarke-Wood said she "went into autopilot."

Using her makeup mirror, she crouched in the bathroom and used her birthing skills to deliver her own baby. By the time the paramedics got there, she was sitting on the couch, with a healthy baby in her arms.
