Brevard County - There is no doubt the New York Times Best Seller Fifty Shades of Grey has become a sensation for women all over the world.

Now, Floridians are being affected by it directly from a political standpoint. Libraries across America have all but banned the book from their shelves due to it's graphic depiction of sex and bondage.

Brevard County Library Systems stocked 19 copies of the book due to the explosive popularity, only to have the book removed by officials.

Now, the Florida chapter of the ACLU and the National Coalition Against Censorship are rallying to get the book placed back on Library shelves as soon as possible. The groups cite the book is no more erotic than other novels already available within the Library system.

A commenter on the original article made an interesting point, stating "This is the same county library that rents entire seasons of True Blood, Game of Thrones, Dexter, and various other sex and violence themed television shows. This same library system holds literally HUNDREDS of fiction novels that are nothing more than erotica disguised as "literature". The only reason this particular book is getting attention is because it is a best seller -- WHICH LIBRARIES SHOULD BE CARRYING BECUASE THAT IS WHAT THE AUDIENCE WANTS! This system PURCHASED 19 copies of the book and had waiting lists on all 19 copies of over 50 people. This is nothing more than CENSORSHIP THEATER. Its like our local library is taking lessons in stupidity and taxpayer angering from TSA." by WFTV member smartgal.

MELBOURNE - Deputies from all over the state are paying their respects online and on the news to fallen Deputy Sheriff, Barbara Pill.

Pill was killed in the line of duty today when a career criminal, Brandon Lee Brantley opened fired on her as she approached his vehicle.

Officers from nearly every agency nearby, responded to the call after gunshots were heard over the radio as she called in for backup.

Brantley had an accomplice with him. Andrea Michelle Kirshner. 19-years-old and full of rebellion. Like many women, Kirshner loved the bad boys.

She got one in Brantley. By the age of 22, he had already racked up several pages full of charges ranging from misdemeanors to felony assault.

Brandon and Ashley were working together to steal furniture from a local Econolodge Hotel, when officers received the call about the duo.

Deputy Pill was first on the scene. Her backup had not arrived yet. While attempting to get Brantley out of the vehicle he was in, the Deputy radioed in for assistance as she had located the couple.

That is when several shots could be heard. Brandon killed Deputy Barbara Ann Pill in cold blood.

It is a sad day in Brevard County.

Deputy Pill leaves behind a husband, two sons, and a daughter in law who all work in Law Enforcement.

Melbourne - Robert Tripplet, (supposedly age 31 but looks close to 50) is what some might call "a terrible driver."

Others might think he's just a drunk. Brevard County will be calling him "former Park Ranger Tripplet" after his arrest following the incredible crash of his Park Ranger pickup.

This douchebag fled the scene, all bloodied up, and when the cops found him at a female friend's home, he smelled of alcohol. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to put 2 & 2 together.

What is really interesting here is that he was actually arrested for unrelated crash where he fled the scene about week prior to this incident Monday morning.

I'm not sure if he thought no one would notice this. Look at the wreckage:

Imagine this: It's 4:30 a.m. You're driving along I-95, when all of a sudden you witness an incredible scene unfolding.

A loaded semi whips around and jackknifed seemingly unprovoked, and it's just total chaos. Cars are diving out of the way, the truck is upside down, people are worried.

Brave onlookers rush to help the driver of the truck, as they feared the worse. Upon getting the cab of the rig, they find the driver unharmed.

When he's questioned by the FHP officer investigating this huge crash, the driver, 43-year-old Joseph Williams stated he had a "sneezing attack."

We're pretty sure the officer was either laughing hysterically, or prepared to use his baton on Williams. It's hard for anyone to believe a trained OTR driver could not control a sudden sneezing fit or pull over until it ended.

His story seems a little ridiculous for the outcome of this accident. FHP spokeswoman Kim Monets said that charges are pending against the driver.

It's never a good thing to mix a lack of common sense, transportation, and a Wal-Mart. A Brevard County man decided to play a game of Human Frogger and attempted to cross Eastbound 405, once of the county's busiest roads.

Turns out that decision nearly cost him his life.

He was creamed by a driver who had no time to react to the man's last ditch effort at jay-walking across the 405. Because this is an accident, the driver will not face charges.

Which is great because we're sure his car is trashed and he'll have to live with the image of smashing to a pedestrian who should have known better than to cross the road where he did - no where near a crosswalk.

The man is now in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
