To say a movie trailer sometimes doesn't do it justice is a gargantuan understatement in this case. Leaving the theater, I realized my face was hurting from laughing and my hands were hurting from clapping.

This updated version on the iconic 80's TV shows is a complete 180 from the original format of witty quips and cliche, after school special moments that tried to teach America's youth that a life of crime at any level would lead you right to jail.

This film did non of that.

From the ending of the opening credits, this movie had you laughing. It didn't let off until the ending credits began.

The entire theater was flying out of their seat laughing, people were clapping, and high-fiving each other. No one screening this film expected a level of raw vulgarity this script, which may have been written on a wet-nap at a Hooters in Chattanooga, that made The Hangover look like a PG-13 film.

If you are looking for a top-notch crime thriller, look elsewhere. And pull that stick out of your ass while you are at it. People that go into movies with false impressions should do their homework before being disappointed.

This film is not for the faint of heart. This film is not for people who can't handle a barrage of dick jokes. This film is not for people who can't just sit back and laugh.

Jump Street opens with a line from Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreations) that solidifies the direction the rest of the movie intended on going.

Rob Riggle and Ice Cube both deliver the laughs in their cliche roles of crappy criminal and perpetually angry Police Captain.

The stereotype jokes were on point and I can't say enough about how fluid and hilarious the dialog was. Each verbal or physical exchange was on point. Every character's high-school counterpart was very realistic in their delivery and ironic appeal.

To showcase how times have changed from the mid 2000's to 2012 was simply brilliant. They pulled off the nuances of today's youth with accuracy and realistic reaction.

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are a dynamite duo! They feed off each others strengths and weaknesses like seasoned comedy vets. It's great to see Tatum in a roll that doesn't cause him to show off his abs. While Jonah Hill's weight loss becomes less distracting as the film goes on and you see how physical the role really was.

Let's face it, anyone who was a fan of Jonah Hill pre-weight-loss was worried he would not be nearly as funny after getting all skinny-miny on us. Remember Ron Lester from Varsity Blues? He played 'Billy Bob' and weighed close to 500 lbs. After shedding a tremendous amount of weight, he was rarely seen in movies again.

Now, this is how all comedies should be. Funny, fast paced, devastatingly raw, and most of all, hilarious. The fact that it's only February leaves me to wonder what movie could possibly come close to touching this amazing film.

I don't see one on the horizon, that's for sure. If you plan on going to see it 21 Jump Street, get ready for one hell of an ab workout.

There is one plot twist near the end that will put a huge smile on your face. I can promise you that.

So, I find myself here on a gloriously boring Wednesday morning, in the middle of another mundane week here in Central Florida. I find myself preparing for the continuation of this mind-numbingly tedious 7-day procession, asking myself, “just what the hell do I have to look forward to this weekend?” The answer to that question is the same its been for the last ten years I’ve lived ‘round these parts...not a damn thing.

That is, however, until I remembered that the most badass thing in the history of badassedness is about to hit theaters in T-minus just a couple of days. Act of Valor! A movie made with real guns...real explosions...and, I’ll be damned, real Navy SEALs! Not Charlie Sheen, my friends, real...effing...SEALs!

Now, the acting in this film promises to be of some truly questionable quality, but seriously, if your anything like me (reasonably young, immature, obsessive about tactical military shit and movie explosions) then the focus of this movie will be right were you want it...mind blowing action!

As you can probably tell, I’m excited as the dickens about this movie, as it represents everything just about all young American men dream about, but are too damn pu...I mean, scared to actually try to achieve (and no, Modern Warfare doesn’t count).

With all that said, I’ll definitely be at the earliest showing I can get myself to, and will bring a most compelling review of what promises to be the greatest military themed film known to man!

See the trailer below...

Yeah...pretty badass right? Thought so.
