Gina Carano
If you have turned on a television within the past two weeks, you have more than likely caught a preview for Steven Soderbergh's latest action flick Haywire.

You'll see the future ex-wife of the jerk who run's this site, beating the crap out of anyone who gets in her way. Her name is Gina Carano and anyone who follows MMA knows her name.

She's one of the top female MMA competitors and she's also drop dead gorgeous.

Capitalizing on the fact that there are no formidable female action stars would could pull of a convincing contract killer, Steven Soderbergh asked Carano to star in his film Haywire. For which, she immediately agreed to.

When Soderbergh makes a film, he goes big. Having built a history of gritty action, drama, and espionage films, he called pulled out all the stops for Carano's first role.

That says a lot about the faith he had in her ability to sell the image and deliver a role worthy of such co-stars as Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas and a few others.

Judging by the previews, this movie looks promising. Rotten Tomatoes reviews show that even the bad reviews mention very interesting aspects of the film. Like the fact that the fight-scenes are incredible, and they are non-stop. Which is what anyone going to see this movie should be looking for.

If you are not a fan of films that showcase incredible levels of hand-to-hand combat and violence in general, don't go see it. If you're looking for the next (insert whatever you think is the best love story you've ever seen) you're clearly mistaken.

This is where film reviews usually lose the point and the target audience may not get to enjoy a movie made just for them, based on the advice of someone who should not judge films they are not fans of.

Chances are if Grandpa fought in Vietnam, he's not going to be a fan of "The Notebook" so don't base your judgement solely on him.

Give films a chance. Make a decision for yourself. If a film seems appealing, watch it. Everyone interprets movies uniquely.  If you have a history of just not liking any movie, save your money and stop going. All you do is spread that negativity and prevent others from going based on your bias. At some point you have to accept it is not the movies, it is you.

Objectivity in film critiquing is out the window with thousands of film critics flooding the web with their own opinions, which are just that. Opinions.

In this section, I assure you we are going to review films that some will like and some will hate. There's no way to guarantee which movies will please everyone. If that was the case, we wouldn't offer this opinion at all because you can't make everyone happy.

So, we'll shut up now and let you enjoy the prettiest face in Mixed Martial Arts discuss the making of Haywire.
