Deltona - Just when Deltona Hills Golf & Country Club was off to a fresh start, 31-year-old Rodney Grimes had to ruin it.
After two years of renovations and new owners, Deltona's only golf course was showing signs of revival.
Former employee and full time douchebag, Grimes, had other plans.
According to the Daytona News Journal, Rodney had been fired several years ago, and was ordered off the property last week. After the fire alarms alerted Deltona Fire Department to respond, they discovered a busted window where the fire originated from, which lead them to believe it was arson.
Deputies were called in with a K-9 unit, which tracked down the suspect to his garage. He was found with a gash in his arm, wreaking of gasoline, and a gas can nearby.
Genius.
He did, however, admit to setting the fire in anger after the former employer forced him off the property and accused him of being a terrible employee.
Harsh words indeed.
Not enough justification to try and burn down a business. His bail was set at $7500 and his arm was treated at an area hospital.
