Bar Review: Fifty Brews - Orlando
By Dan Moreira
Fifty Brews is a local bar located on Woodbury Rd, 1/2 mile past Firkin and Kegler. After pulling really hard on the front doors, you find yourself in a clean atmosphere that is immensely chill and inviting. But if you want to have a little fun there is a Wii, pool tables, shuffleboard and even corn-hole can be played here for your amusement. But what makes Fifty Brews shine is their customer service. Your glass is never empty and you feel more like family then a common customer. They specialize and serve over 90 different craft beers and they also craft their own. So far I've had the pleasure in enjoying their Coconut Wheat Ale, Pineapple Ale, and their Hazelnut Stout which were all amazing. They even made a Garlic Bread Ale. If you're a Beer Snob, like myself, then you'll like the fact that Fifty Brews also has the proper glassware for all your beer drinking needs. But if you like challenges, you'll like their 50 on 50 Challenge. Basically, you have 50 days to drink 50 brews (hence the name) and if you succeed, you are rewarded with a glass mug with your name engraved and 10% off all future orders. The food is all top notch and made to order. Everything you would expect to have at a bar; wings, burgers, salads, fried oreos...Yes fried Oreos! Even Twinkies and ice cream sandwiches are not safe from the deep fryer. With fun games to play, good food to eat, great beer to drink, and awesome prices, Fifty Brews is definitely a spot to go to for years to come.
