Hollywood, FL - It's like something out of a low budget "Skin-a-Max" movie. Two girls in bikinis walk up to a man on crutches. Ask about his injury. Then try to rob him.

It happened in Hollywood, FL where the sun shines bright, and the drugs are plentiful.

Poor William Joseph Knowles was just hobbling down Hollywood Blvd when Amber Lynn McKay, 22, and Veronica Anne Lane, 21, walked up to the injured man.

We bet he was thinking "Aww, at least someone cares about an old dog like me." Nope. He was wrong. After asking about how he sustained his injury, the two girls proceeded to pick pocket Knowles and push him around.

He wasn't going to take it, so he started swinging his crutch around, bashing both girls to the point they finally gave up and took off running. Even with a shattered chin bone and two surgeries down, this old guy was tough enough to fight off a couple of future inmates without re-inuring himself.

"I was always brought up you don't hit a woman, but in this case, I didn't have a choice. I was defending myself," said Knowles.

The girls were later caught after being identified by a hotel employee where they were staying at.
