Blanchard, OK - The phrase "never mess with a mother and her cubs" is an understatement for this story.

When Sarah McKinley, 18, had to bury the father of her child after he lost a battle with cancer, she thought the healing process could begin. She was wrong.

A local criminal, Justin Martin had other ideas and tried to victimize McKinley twice. He attempted to get into the house previously and she did not let him, calling 911 and scaring him off.

He returned a few days later, this time with an accomplice. It was obvious his motives were sinister and she was ready for the fight. He attempted to get into home and she barricaded herself and her 3 month old baby inside the home, placing the sofa against the front door.

Martin and his moronic cohort attempted to kick in the door for several minutes while Sarah called 911. She put a bottle in her baby's mouth to stop him from crying, and asked the 911 operator something I'm sure most operators have never been asked.

"I've got two guns in my hand -- Is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door?"

Knowing this wasn't going to end well for the intruder, the 911 Dispatcher responded "I can't tell you that you can do that, but you do what you have to do to protect your baby."

You will also probably have a billion questions once they flash the image of her husband. He will remind you of a young Bob Ross. Maybe his son will grow up to paint pretty little clouds all over the place.

Either way, we are glad Sarah and her son are going to be alright. The accomplice turned himself in later that day.
