Jordan's eldest son decides to leave UCF 01/08/2012
Orlando - In a sign of true sportsmanship, Jeff Jordan has decided to hang up his...Jordans? It must be pretty hard to walk in the shadow of arguably the greatest Basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. However, unlike many rich kids, Jeff showed throughout his college career that he was a class act. Leaving Illinois to join his brother Marcus on the UCF squad, and had a great season this year. It is not known the specifics of why he decided to call it quits. However, Jeff released a statement stating "personal reasons." If you google Jeff Jordan, you'll find a surprising amount of positive praise over his personality and humbleness. Which should serve well him life and everyone at UCF wishes Jeff the best of luck in any future endeavors. Add Comment NBA Opening Day, this Sunday! 12/22/2011
By - Danny Moran Who else is giddy as hell for basketball this Sunday? I know I am! I've got my Snuggy washed and ready to go. Hah, just kidding. There's a full slate of games from noon until 10:30pm. That's enough basketball to make a man go blind. The first game is Boston at New York, at noon. This is going to be a great game because we'll get to see how Tyson Chandler fits in with Carmello Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire as one of the most intimidating front-courts in the NBA. Hopefully they can hold it down while Baron Davis is out with his back injury for 6-8 weeks. Next, you have Miami at Dallas on ABC at 2:30pm. The returning NBA Champs have a couple of new pieces to their roster, including Lamar Odom and Vince Carter. While the retooled Miami Heat embark on their journey to win one of their 6 championships. Yeah, I said it. Then, you have the Chicago Bull facing the L.A. Lakers at 5 pm, on ABC. MVP Derrick Rose and newly acquired Rip Hamilton visit Kobe Bryant and Mike Brown to kick off a new regime in L.A. Can Brown have a winning first season with the seasoned Lakers. Even without Lamar Odom, Kobe may have enough left in the tank for one more Championship push. Our hometown team, Orlando will be playing Oklahoma City Thunder at 8 pm. You can watch this game on ESPN. Let's see if "Superman" Dwight Howard can take on the young guns of O.K.C. including Russell Westbrook and Kevin "Duranchula" Durant. Not to mention, Kendrick Perkins lost 30 pounds so he will be able to keep up without a problem. And last, but not least, we have the Clippers vs The Golden State Warriors at 10:30PM. Chris Paul and new look Clippers are taking their high-flying act to the Warriors stadium. There's a lot of hype surrounding the Clippers. Can we use the words Clippers and Championship in the same sentence? You never know! As Stephan Curry and Monte Ellis look to show they are still a force to be reckoned with. Be sure to watch as much basketball as you can. You never know when David Stern will decide to screw things up again. | InfoSack Sports
