By Steve Figueroa Once in a great while, a band comes along that simply amazes you from top to bottom. Your jaw drops. You rig your laptop to your amp. And have to hear their entire collection on YouTube from your sizable home audio setup. That's what just happened to me after discovering Alabama Shakes. For the love all things holy, they are the band I have been waiting for since 2006. I haven't heard a band rip it up with no need for for auto-tune, or any studio effects. No over-produced pop nonsense. Just good ole' Southern Rock. Their lead singer sounds as if Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin had a baby, and she came just in time to save music from itself. The radio is flooded with Dubstep, terrible Pop, and unintelligible Hip-Hop. I won't make you read any more. Please, hit play on the video below and enjoy. _What do you get when you team up a kick-ass producer and one adorable little girl? A stroke of genius. Eight-year-old Australian, Juliet, just become the latest internet sensation. Her viral clip, dubbed "My First Hardcore Video" has over 15 million views on Youtube. She has already spawned hundreds of response videos. Some with praise, others with hated. Both of which seem to be the moniker of success these days. Whatever your thoughts are, you can't deny she pulls it off well. Almost as believable as those suburban headbangers who thrash about, cursing their miserable existence. This video has caught fire on the Hardcore scene and headbangers across the world have been put on notice. Juliette is here. And she has a following. Her parents seem pretty damn awesome, check out her mother's Tumblr page. She's actually a decent photographer as well. Looks like this whole thing is a family affair. Which is how stars are made. Best of luck, kid. Things are always a little random in my life, and this summer when I was told that I would meet these four guys from Utah, I didn’t really think much of it. They were going around Florida, on tour. My friend asked me if they could all stay at my house, which I had just moved into. At first I wasn’t sure if it was the best idea, but I went along with it. I met them down at Backbooth downtown, they were playing with my friends from the Band Called Bellows. I was shocked. They were incredible, full of energy and creativity. Their show was amazing. I was instantly a fan. They’re music was different, but reminiscent of that music that you love to love. We hung out the next few days, watching them play music, making food, going on daytime adventures, and an epic throwback hip-hop dance party. We even made Tres Leches cake (delicious by the way). They were super down to earth, helpful, and overall just great guys. They definitely made an impact, and I’m so happy that I got to meet them. What I loved the most about them was their talent and stage presence. Whether they were playing at the bar in front of a huge crowd, or at a house party, they gave 100 percent. Well now, is my chance to give them a little support, because they more than deserve it. They are trying to provide us with new and exciting music, but as we all know, this is a hard business. The world needs music, so why not help make it happen? They have a campaign on pledge music called “I worked my thighs for Eyes Lips Eyes.” They’re trying to get some support to create their new album. It’s really easy to become a part of it. Just log onto http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/eyeslipseyes, and select how much you want to pledge. Of course, you’re wondering what’s in it for you? They’re in turn giving things ranging from advance digital copies of their CD’s to the opportunity to go skydiving with Tony, Caleb, Aaron, and Thomas. Then you can say you worked your thighs for Eyes Lips Eyes! You can check out their music on Spotify, Itunes, or www.eyeslipseyes.com Reptar! 01/11/2012

_If you were a bass-head back in the 90's, DJ Magic Mike's discography had a section in your CD holder. Almost single-handedly putting Orlando on the map for Bass and Techno, Mike, has He has stayed busy all these years pumping the local club scene and is a fixture in the local Orlando Nightlife scene. Check out his latest music video: "We On" Time Bomb - Josh Hill, Orlando 12/24/2011
Josh definitely makes an argument for two things. One is purist audio quality and the second is creativity presentation. Check out these tracks he has up on SoundCloud. Top notch mastering and a lack of audible distortion make this my favorite pick of the night. The meltdown and bass is safe for most audio setups. Some guys get a little crazy with the subsonics, which end up leaving the final cut muddy and packed with digital distortion. Josh impresses on all fronts and shows what Orlando brings to the Dubstep table. Sounduo - The Basstronic Duo 12/24/2011
Finally! A real musician and a DJ team up to bring you real "Drum and Bass" with actual drums, and a DJ engineering the rest. Check out this video of a live recording. The video itself will probably make you puke blood if you're not already tripping acid. But the composition and the fact that you have a drummer laying the foundation is impressive. I approve! Like them on facebook here and support your local Florida artist. O'Grime - (Dubstep) great video 12/24/2011
Florida is the hub of all things Bass. I don't care where you are from. If you spent the 90's like I did buried in the car audio scene, this place was the mecca of all things Bass. So it comes as no surprise that Miami is flexing their Dubstep skills with an interesting mix of contenders. One of them is O'Grime. Check out their latest video. I played it through my studio headphones on two different machines to make sure it was a mastering issue and not my gear. So if you're a purist like I am, you'll probably critique the level of distortion. But the video itself is pretty damn awesome. Check it out. O'Grime - O'Grime from Mupalia Pictures on Vimeo. Blackout - by Breathe Carolina 12/24/2011
Even though Breathe Carolina has charted a few hits since 2009, they are still relatively new to the scene and this song is catchy. Not to mention this video makes me want to party until I almost blackout. Thumbs up! Dan Baldrich - Acoustic Phenom 12/02/2011
![]() Dan Baldrich on the left. If you party it up at World of Beer - Lake Mary on any Thursday night, you will be treated to one hell of an acoustic show. Local talent and total guitar bad-ass, Dan Baldrich tears up the stage and leaves you with a night you won't forget. I have seen Dan play at least 10 times and he's spot on every time. His sets are awesome, his vocals are superb, and he's a singers singer. Not to mention, he's quick to come down and have a beer with the crowd and hang out with us less talented folks any time. His range is incredible too. You're treated to anything from Journey to Led Zeppelin and if you're nice enough, he even takes requests. I tried to record some of his session on my phone but the quality was an offense to anyone with good ears. So I won't post it. I'll never post something that doesn't compliment the artist. And this guy deserves all the props in the world for reminding us of what true talent is all about. If you're looking to book him, check out his site, or come by World of Beer on Thursdays and have a chat with the guy.
